I love my 8000k HID's in my car.
Perfect color, not to blue, but not to white. IMO anyways.

This is the first time I'm going to attempt to put HIDs into reflector housings - the mustang has a great beam pattern so I'm hoping they work and save the cut-off
Unfortunately, nobody makes a projector headlight for the mustang that doesn't make me throw up in my mouth a little bit.
I had a set of HID's in the reflector housings in my Silverado, and just recently switched that set over to the Trailblazer (also reflector housings) and both are awesome. I haven't noticed any obnoxious cutoff in the light. Give em a shot and see how they work. For $40 bucks you can't go wrong. Even if you DO have a shitty cut-off, you could always box the thing back up and sell it on ebay for $80 I'm sure.
I'll be ordering a few sets from DDM as well
^^^^, i have HID's in my grand prix reflector housings and haven't had a problem yet, they rock!
