I have an overhang I've been trying to deal with.
Looking at it from the outside there is thin cement board, some light fiberglass insulation and then the inside wood flooring, then carpet.
I glued some 2" thick pink foam board to the cement board on the outside and caulked as best as I could. It's still cool inside, so I was planning on cutting up the wood floor on the inside and adding more insulation to the joists.
Is this even worth it? Will the floor ever be the same temp as the rest of the room? What type of insulation should I use and how much?
I was thinking of maybe another layer of 2" foam board and better rated glass insulation on top of that.
Is there a moisture issue now with the foam board and cement board on the outside?
