It would fit in place, but as mentioned a number of things would need to be changed. The tb will interfere with the acc. on the truck engine, and there may be an issue with the fuel system as well (iirc the ls1 was returnless, vs the return style fuel system on the trucks)

I'm curious about "truck intakes are better than car intakes" as I've seen this debated on my '66 forum as well as on ls1tech. It seems that the truck intakes deliver better torque but have been told that they fall flat near 6k. I have the truck intake on my lq4 as well so im interested to know.

generally speaking they have more plenum volume which aids in their torque and output along with the longer runners. a ported TBSS intake gives almost 50hp to the wheels on a stock tbss! The LS1 intake is the least-flowing option out there, not mention all of your low end torque (which that little 5.3 needs all it can get in a k-truck) will dissapear. your t-body will not bolt to it, the tb would run straight into the waterpump neck and since it has DOD, the valley manifold will create clearance issue, not to mention the oil psi sending unit which have been moved forward into that valley cover.
