    S197 Clutch help

I ordered up a spec stage 2+ clutch and just found out that it is on back order. The 2+ is enought to hold my power but i want to put it in next weekend and it won't be off back order in time. I was thinking about stepping up to the 3+ just to have it in time and for future growth. Does anyone know the difference in driveability between the stock clutch and the stage 2+? Then what about stepping up to the 3+?

Unless you need a clutch for power, go with the lowest option. They turn into light switches and it's on or off. Bob's car is probably the most clutch I'd ever put in a DD and he's a 2 I believe.

Nothing wrong with stock if you aren't blown over 420 Hp to the wheels.

Get something to hold up to that turbo kit. I had a spec 2 and it worked well in mine for a year. Not rated for 600rwhp like i have. Think the 2's are rated at like 450.

What's your combo? You should be good with a Spec Stage 2+ or a CF Dual Friction.

I have apparently already exceeded what the stock clutch can handle as it slips pretty bad. The Spec stage 2+ was my next step up. I don't want to get into an on or off only clutch so I guess i should be patient and wait for the backorder to come in. Thanks for the help.

I could probably get back with the stage 2 but wanted the 2+ for a little safety factor. Sounds like going bigger isn't better in this application.
