I just put these tires to the test and WOW.....
The best part was when a police car going 15-20mph flashed his/her lights at me as I passed, going the speed limit of 35mph.....

The design looks similar to the Nokian Hakkapellitta RSI.
As for the Hakkapellitta's, I LOVE them! AWD Turbo w/ Ice Racing Tires FTW!

Yeah but nowhere near the performance of them. A die hard snow tire guy I know tried these and got rid of them the next day. They allow the car to push way too much compared to the "hocks". You can totally feel it when he throws the car into a snowy turn at 50-60 Not that they're bad tires either. I guess for the rest of us normal drivers, they'd do just fine.
I've been debating all fall if I should upgrade the mustang to some hocks or gislaveds and resell my blizzaks I bought used last year for like a hundy.
Gislaveds are hard to find around this area. I believe that Michelin also purchased them, so the designs may have turned to suck by now. I think that there is still an old-school Saab used dealer off of Wisconsin ave by Kimberly Clark on the East side of Appleton, WI that sells them and Hakkas. He was an old ice racer. Those two make THE BEST lineup of bad weather tires (well, for ice racing/snow rally) on the market.
If you find Gislaveds down here, shoot me the info!

There's a guy in MF/germantown area that my buddy and boss go to for hocks and I thought he also has some gislaveds. If they get in here today I can ask them.
More than fine. Yes the Nokian/Gilslaved is superior but for the price of these you can't go wrong, unless you're 'racing' in the streets during snow storms.....
The closest Gislaved/Nokian tire dealer I know of is in Richfield, Greg / 262-628-1716.....

For me, yeah they'd be great i'm sure. For this guy I know, snow days are essentially race days for him. TBH he makes me damn near shit my pants when there's traffic nearby.
I'm assuming this is the guy... they do refer to him as "hocky greg"The closest Gislaved/Nokian tire dealer I know of is in Richfield, Greg / 262-628-1716......
At nearly half the price I wouldn't hesitate, not for a second. They'll be light years better than all-seasons (3-seasons in my opinion) and they're on par if not better than Blizzaks, Alpins, etc.....
I forgot to mention the General Altimax Artic's tread design is identical to the Gislaved Nordfrost 3s, General bought the molds.....

My snow tires are doing me well while they're unmounted and on the floor in my garage
I had some Blizzak ws40 or 50's on the evo last winter, that was fun. The traction was unreal.
