Went down to Delevan to see the inlaws, cant go out to
the sticks without firearms!

So windy I was swearing at the sky, hard to keep the cross
hairs on the target long range, not bad for just under 300
yards with Winchester White box 45gr ammo:

So soon as it calmed toward evening I went out to try and
call in a Coyote, no go but the unprotected Grackels were
EVERYWHERE! Here is my lookout, 250+ yards above the
barn off in the distance:

Light 10mph gusts, 250 +/- yard range with birds blowing
in the breeze on branchs I was probably 40% kill ratio!

wont have to chase as many away from his feeder now

Good shooting. If you have never gotten out on a dog town in the Dakota's, I highly recommend it Get out there early when there's still moisture in the air and it's like shooting tracers, only it's a vapor trail. Good times!!!

Ya thats always been a dream of mine, sold all my heavy
barrels but I think this featherweight AR will hold its own
out there now that its got a few hundred rounds thru it and
I cant find a fault with its groups (no flyers).

Island rd, 1/4 mile west of P, can see the gun club to
my SE. I shoot in those feilds, several hundered yard
flat shooting....cept in wind like today
