I had one years back and really miss it. Not some junk SKS. it was a 80s build Kalashnikov brought back form my tour in Africa. I want to replace it and am looking for local sale.

Be prepared to pay, I've seen people sell wasr's for $600 when last summer the were $300something. Try dunhams, they used to stock them, they had yugos and wasr's

There was one at Badger that was $400 (new) before *he* got elected... now it's $700.

you can still put one together for a reasonable price yourself. Romanian AKM parts kits 300$, NDS-3 AKM receiver 55$, 922R compliance parts near 70$. If you have access to a press it should not be too bad. Or all the parts shipped to a builder and he can assemble for around 100-200$ depending on who does it. Centuries can be hit/miss. The prices used to be acceptable, but no longer. Romanian WASR-10's draw 600+ now for IMO a poor fit and finish. I have one of those, and it will work every time, but has the typical fit & finish issues of most WASRs. They will work, if you buy one....CHECK FOR CANTED FRONT SIGHT BLOCKS AND GAS BLOCKS. The best deals left seem to be the Polish WZ.88 Tantals and if you can find Yugoslavian M70 series (both offered by CAI that they didn't hack largely, and typical assembly on a NDS receiver).

I'm sorry, but can you explain the canter front sight blocks and gas blocks, what they are, what they look like, etc?

Instead of being inline and in the centerline of the barrel it will be canted to the side a bit.
