hit up the drumlin again tonight. the trail isnt groomed from wales to sullivan, but the new sled was eatin up all the moguls. we then rode to concord and that trail was getting kind of thin as well as the trail from there to johnsons creek. there was enogh snow, but it was just to powdery and just washed off right away. some of it was groomed, but it didnt make much differance. purple72olds blew up the bottom end (crack probably broke in half) so we stuff around by sullivan sulloon for a bit and then headed back.
i have about 90 miles on the new sled and i will tell you that this is THE BADDEST CHASSIS EVER! the way it sucks up nasty moguls and bumps is just unamagineable. the harder you beat on it, the better it is. also the 600 ho carb motor is no slough and actully has decent top end for what it is. my only real complain is gas milage. it doesnt help that it only has a 9 gallon tank. hopefully a little clutch work will help with that considering it spins at 8500 rpm right now(i want to be at 8100-8200) but all in all it is one of the baddest trail sled i have ever ridden.
I went out last night, unloaded just north of Arbor Vitae, headed over to Sayner, then down through Woodruff, Minoqua and back up. Put on about 85 miles, trails were in "ok" shape, could use a grooming, but then again it was snowing pretty good all day and night. I'm sure the groomers have gone through by now, was still nice to get out and ride. I really like riding on fresh ungroomed trails anyway, the loose powder is fun.
the family and i are up here in hoghton and this area didnt get hit as bad. we went for a little rip tonight after the trails stated recovering and the were great the whole time. i heard we pretty much lost all of our snow back home so i geuss ill have to make the best of this time here. were headed up to copper harbor wich is the tip of the kewanaa and werew staying there overnight(my mom bithes about anything more than 100 miles in a day). so far, the 600rr is still awesome and walked past the disapointing dragon 800 swithback (my dads) four times in a row. he would even get the jump and every time the old carbed 600 would march him down with snowcross gearing and he would never pull back. the mapping is horrible on the 800's and poo needs to do something about this!
may have ended my season this weekend, Just got my sled back together after having a problem with the base gasket and took it out to little muskego. Just out cruzing around by idle isle and blasted something stuck in the ice or an ice heave doing about 30 mph. The sled dead stopped, i flew about 15 feet. It pushed the left front back about 4 inches and twisted the front part of the chassis pretty good. So if anybody knows of a rev with a blown motor or a bare chassis laying around let me know.

wow... see thats what happened to me last year on a trail by my house... i hit a metal stake in the ground doing about 30-35mph. the sled came to a complete stop i flew over the bars like you did, about 10-15ft. luckly the stake only made a 2inch hole in my belly pan and only chipped the engine block... it could have craked it but it didnt!
anyway, good to hear your ok!
