i hope they play that good next week..
The Pack played well overall, but I wouldn't get too excited until the last three minutes it was looking 50/50 that they might lose to the Lions - the Lions played really really bad the last two weeks...
Kitna is horrible...
Next week versus Dallas if the Pack wins I will be a believer.

Rodgers is playing very good. I hate seeing a comparison to Favre last year after 2 games cause I'm betting those rushing numbers are a tad bit different.
Even if he lays an egg vs Dallas, Rodgers has shown quite a bit so far. I just hope he can stay healthy. That's always been my concern with him. If he throws for 350 yards and 4 TD's a game but only plays in 8 of them, it really doesn't help them much. So far he's done a great job avoiding hits.

against Dallas will make you a believer?? LOLOL...they are hands down the nations fav to take it all...so if they lose then...in your book or as I understand you- it was a poor choice to go with Aaron?

I must admit, maybe I was wrong. He does seem to be doing pretty good. Still miss Favre though

I was one of the biggest haters against Rodgers from the start, but having a QB that can scramble again is just amazing. And his throws while on the run are lights out.
Now believe me, not one game this season nor next season will make him a great QB IMO. That takes YEARS of great play. But ill tell you what, if he keeps his head on his shoulders and McCarthy lets him and that amazing group of WR's do their thing weather were up by 21 or 50 points. He will put up huge #'s.

my thinkng is packers win by 6 against tony homo
I just mean I am not nearly as revved up as most of these guys about the Packers or Rodgers until I see how they do against a good team. Barely beating a mediocre Vikings team and a terrible Lions team doesn't exactly have me excited just yet. IMO as far as judging talent the win and loss is important but isn't everything, more importantly is how the team plays. If they play well against Dallas, even if they lose, that will tell me something - more than them barely beating two mediocre at best teams. Say what you want but they barely beat the Vikings - 5 points, and basically 3 good plays the one long pass the one long run and the punt return. Other than those three plays they played sub par - numerous penalties, 100 passing yards or so and 30 yards out of Ryan Grant aside from those three plays. Against the Lions they played a great first half or so, up 21-3, but then somehow almost blew the game to a really bad Lions team with Kitna at QB... They were losing up until late in the 4th, and take without the 2 picks returned for TDs in the final minutes when the Lions were tossing desperation passes they really only barely beat a terrible Lions team. A lot of these guys are proclaiming Pack superbowl and Rodgers as the second coming. Its a loooooong season lol.

That being said, obviously Rodgers has played way ahead of the curve as far as a new starter goes - he has played well, hasn't turned over the ball, and seems great at avoiding sacks with a bit of scrambling or just plain getting the ball out in a timely manner. I was shocked the Vikings didn't get at least a decent amount of sacks on him and maybe force a turnover or two. Their team is pretty mediocre overall, but their D Line is excellent. They abused the Colts (although the Colts O Line is banged up with injuries and pretty weak) last week and should have won that game - they absolutely stuffed the run and had a lot of pressure on Manning. The Vikings are basically a QB away from having a good team, and Jackson is terrible - I'm sure the Vikings wish they had a QB like Rodgers to start!
He looks way better than most newly annointed starting QBs over the last few years, that's for sure!

But you guys also got to keep in mind, this kind of start is the best thing for a "Rookie" like Rodgers. If you started him out against Dallas and other "good" teams that could ruin him.
You guys are forgetting a QB is nothing without WR's who believe in him. And as much as Driver/Jennings/Jones/ect were saying they are happy with Rodgers being their QB at the start of the season, you know damn well they were thinking the same stuff as the rest of us. And Jennings and Driver both are showing more and mroe signs of trust.
Now that 2 weeks have gone by, and he has shown he is willing to throw to EACh and every WR on the team they are going to go out on a limb for him when coming across the middle of the field or other situations like that.
Again, what you guys need to watch for instead of what team were playing against is how they do in different situations.
Meaning, what happens when our Rb game gets shut down. Exactly what happened last week, except for a couple good runs. Then what? How will Rodgers handle the pressure of knowing he is going to have to pass for the rest of the game.
I think he did damn well, if McCarthy stoped worring about hurting other team's feelings and started running up the scores instead of playing conservitive we'd never have games like what happened yesterday.
Lots of stuff to look at.
