Listening to those first 5 or 10 minutes of his conference on the radio was tough, I will admit it. It comes down to the guy is quitting something he loves to do and people loved to watch him do it. A down to earth normal guy who genuinely is heartbroke over making this decision. It plays to many emotions across a wide range of people. People felt connected to the guy, thats it, and to cut the ties is a bit like dealing with death.
That is why grown men cried during his press conference.
Maybe these guys just don't want to go back to the way it was in the 70's and 80's...maybe that's why they're crying. lol
I stand by my original statement as well.
He cried because he loves what he did and knows that he will not do it again. To give something up like that is probably one of the hardest decisions he will face in his life because he will never know if he made the right decision. I would probably cry too. Its like breaking up with someone you love you heart is broken.
