4140 lbs!!! God that thing is portly. I wouldn't be surprised to see it stuck in the 13s with that much weight to throw around.

well, the srt-8 charger-300-grand cherokee's are either as heavy and heavier...they all go low 13's and into the 12's.

Meh.. just like any stock LS1 can do 12's. I'll believe it when I see it.
Expect the Camaro to be that heavy as well. Crash standards and safety equipment.
The stupid Solstice weighs 3000 lbs.
Ex-Trans Am owner.
well, most your 300/magnum's srt's tend to to go low 13.0-13.3's at around 106-108. Most the GC tends to go b/w 13.1-13.5 @ 104. The rare ones of either have gone as fast as 12.7 (in the case of the 300...there's one on youtube/or the streetrace sight iirc) bone stock...generally, the jeep's respond to the simple mods the best...
...and of course, as with any car, there are the tools out there going high 13 even into the 14's with these.

Good to see it's slower then the GTO (12.9@108 v.s. 13.3@105)
i was really looking forward to this car hitting the dealers, but it is starting to look like nothing more than a regular dodge car with a regular dodge motor to me?!?!?
have to wait and see, but it is losing its appeal to me everytime i see some info for some reason.
The more I look at it, they ruined that awesome looking ass on it.
Well, at the very least, I have an interesting back story.
when looking at the profile of it, is it just me or does the ass end of the car seem to come to an abrupt stop? just doesnt seem to flow very good past the quarter windows. So far yet another yawn from dodge. a heavy tank with a powerful engine. GM accomplished this in 2004 with the GTO. Dodge is late to the party yet again. The charger totally sucks ass. Who the **** wants a 4 door charger? I dont recall them making a 4 door charger in the 60s or 70s, so why would they now? When they retro'd the mustang they didnt turn it into a 4 door.... and they arent turning the camaro into a 4 door, so wtf?
I'd rather have a Caddy CTS-V or an STS-V
a 3,725lb GTO is nowhere near the 4100lbs of the Challenger, especially considering a Trans Am would be about a 3500-3600lb car.
