Was "SS" an option, or did somebody add the badging?

The ss was an option when they redesigned the trucks in 94, had different shocks as well as the blacked out grill...Cant remember what else, I think it was only like an option for two years though...not very popular.

They were around for more than 2 years. I think in 96 they came with the 4.3 HO which had like 10 more hp.

I had a 96 s10 just like that but it was a non ss. It was actualy pretty quick, mine had the trailer package which got an extra leaf or stronger leaf springs or something so it sat even higher in the back. Still had just as much of a problem with axle wrap though.

Get your self some traction bars, it will help alot with the hoping. And if you race stuff youll beable to hang with alot of cars across the intersection to about 30 mph then there going to take off while you wait for the mushy shift.

Nice Truck, good luck and wait till your not in that probation period of your license to start doing fun stuff, lol.

I think they made them in the bodystyle just before 94. A guy at school had a red one, unless he threw the SS badges on there.
