Joke! I've always had a soft spot for all the BOP and caddy engines...each w/ very different personalities. If I had to rank in order of desireability:
1. Buick's 455
2. Pontiac 455
3. Caddy's 500
4. Olds 455

That's not to say that I think 4th place is a bad deal...not on this list. Some might point to the dearth of aftermarket parts for buicks (not non-existent, but very few vendors) as a detriment...heck, I'd have as easy a time getting AL heads for the caddy, for cheaper mind you, than I would the buick! In terms of overall tractability and moderate cost aftermarket support, pontiac is clearly the best.

Had an old 69 bonneville w/ the 10.25:1 compression 455...the original owner necked it down to a single 2.25 exhaust. Once opened up with proper duals and a good tune, it was a beast. That was until we discovered it's oiling short-comings
