how much of a job will it be to put them in?
is this something i should attempt myself?
i know it involves taking off the intake manifold...can anybody give me any details?
Pull the manifold and the sensors are right below it. Disconnect the wires and unscrew them. It's a little tough to get at some of the bolts on the intake, but that is about the toughest part. Call your local GM dealer to get the torque specs on the intake bolts for replaing. If you ask, they may even copy the pages out of the service manual for you. It's not a tough job, just a little time consuming. Remember to build up a "wall" around the new sensors with RTV sealant to keep from the problem comming back. I would help you, but I have quite a few projects of my own right now. I know Tommy has done this for others at a reasonable price. Maybe he'll chime in.

HeyMD, are you keeping your current username or did you pick a new one?
Check out this link: http://www.lingenfelter.com/pdf/Inte...C%20manual.pdf
Start on page 22, step 74. It's not the exact thing you are doing, but at least you'll see some good pics of what to expect.

Dave,
If you buy the sensors, i can do them for you in about 1.5 hour.
Ill charge you $50 to do it, but the KS's have to be torqued to 14 ft/lbs otherwise they can read inaccurate.
Then i can clear your code for you. Also ill seal around the sensor cover boots with rtv to keep water out (thats why they failed in the first place)
You dont wanna get into pulling that intake your self, ona stock car like that there is alot of "extra" **** in the way that makes is a royal pita!
2012 Cruze ECO M6 - Crystal Red- Just a little more boost than stock!
2001 Camaro SS - Rallye Red - In process.
Hell yeah there is!
I got rid of everything i could on the intakes just to make it easier
I just did mine on the Q. $123 each and a lot of swearing, throwing tools, you know the usuall stuff.
That 4.1 DOHC Infiniti V8 is a B!TCH to work on.
it would be less of a b!tch if it had a Diamond audio sub in it....... HIJACKOriginally Posted by Blown_Gtp

Sensor? What the hell is this techno speak? The $50 is an incredibly reasonable price, then again i dunno what year your car is. Mine is umm...well it has about 4 wires to the whole engine, zero sensors, zero computer input, all tuned by hand. Old school I guess you could say. But if your car is a 3rd gen F-body it honestly would not be that hard to do, changed my intake over plenty of times. If you want a ***** of a job try doing a thermostat on a 2001 Saab 9-5 with the 2.5 litre turbo V6, ask me about that sometime.
