    Cams

Has any one done an Lt4 cam? If so how did it turn out.

yeah, Brandon had one in his '97Z. I'd say it was damn good cause so far that car ran the quickest e.t. of LT1 cars with it. out of the lt1 cars on this board since there has been a number of them. and that was without any head work either. now, there are better cams, but it comes down to what you want to do.

Well I bought one and i am putting it in as we speak. I was just wondering if anyone had any luck. I heard good things about it, and my computer programer said good things about it.

good cam straight from GM. the package you can get is a good entry level performance upgrade.

    Hotcam
    Tune
    MAC headers
    Loudmouth
    SY3500 stall
    3.73's

Fullweight '97 Z28 and it went 12.4 on a decent launch

I have had one in my car for about 4 years. My highest trap speed to date is 114mph. The car is very drivable and passes emissions. That being said I'm pulling mine out and going with something different.

Yup... except for that the car did not have a tune. It was a messed up OBD1 program. No dyno tune. I wonder what it would have went with a dyno tune.

Yeah I sent my computer out to PCM for less. He programed the computer just for the cam set up and did some other mods to get some more horsepower out of it. i am putting all my stuff in this weekend i am wondering if i made the right choice but we will have to see. I also am doing a couple little minor things like 160 stat and roller timing chain and a couple little things like that. Who ever did this cam did they do the whole kit or just the cam?

I did the whole kit the expensive way. By that I mean I went with comp cams promag 1.6 rockers, 7/16" studs and guideplates, trickflow pushrods and better springs. I also have ported heads.

Traction. I've trapped 114 before. The 111mph was a few weeks ago in the really humid weather. My E.t.s have been getting better as I have started to get a little better at launching the car. My 12.74 was with a crappy 2.04 60'. I also fould out on the dyno that I'm shifting too late. My car dropped 50whp by the time I wass shifting at 6500. If I would shift at about 6k I probably would be trapping quite a bit higher. It doesn't matter anymore though. The cam is coming out as we speak.
