I'm surprised the guy in the yellow shorts didnt break his legs!! Also what the heck was that red thing at the end? Looked like a bloody tooth??

I am certain that the guy rolling around in the yellow shorts broke his back...probably several vertebrae. Thing is, if he had landed on his leg, his legs would have absorbed a lot more shock....but going straight down on the sacrum, there is very very little give...so the load is taken directly by the spine.
