I'm planning on hittin GLD up for the first time, the first week of april during the week, to hopefully get a bunch of runs in.....Anyone else planning on going the first week of GLD's opening? (dumb question?

Im way out in left field here but.... It would awesome if they kept the right lane for all the street tire guys that clog up the lanes, and keep the left lane open, (which from my experience seems to hook the best and is the best view of the tree IMO w/o the pillar in the way) for the slicks and drag radial guys.
I got $20 that says the left lane would clean cars out faster than ever w/o all the amateurs

They need to have a slick tire night once or twice a month, Slicks only, charge $50 or so to get in (keep the wanna-be's out) and prep the hell out of the track.
I wouldn't go the first weekend, they're usaully packed, wait a week or 2....Keith & Amanda

Id pay an extra 25 for an all slick night, and for them to "accidently" dump a whole drum of VHT on the starting line
We would see two things... Record times, and lots of broken parts

I wanna go, but I hate all the drag racing, time obsessed people that make it unfun. God, all I wanna do is go to the strip, make some runs, try to improve my PB and call it a night. both times i've been there on a normal day it was nuts.
the BOP days was cool, except my times. 14.0 w/ a 2.0 60' w/99mph on 90* day pushing a measely 8 psi, w/ the belt slipping horribly the whole way down sucks.
I feel a need to go now that I have things ironed out and I have 11psi thru the bottom of the gears and 13 @ the shifts.
i'm so sad, my PB was made 3 weeks after owning the car.Well, at the very least, I have an interesting back story.
