To you maybe that's true... but instead of whining about it maybe you could just say "oh.. darn" and move the fuck on?

I know dick about mustangs, but a solid runner/driver with a clean body is worth 2 grand in most circles. One that would be a solid basis for a v8 swap would double your potential market and therefore easily solidify that value. Even with the horribly undesirable grey interior... which lets be honest, only someone who's wet for a fox body would even know, let alone care about.

With or with out the black interior the car is worth 2k. Hell it as a roller it is worth about $1800. No one cares about what his intention for buying the car in the first place was. He is the owner of it, you are not. Would you be bitching this much if it were ebay? How dare he not respond to you at that instant! I dont know about you, but people on here have lives, jobs, families. There world dosnt revolve around BCM or for sale posts.

You are a car salesman right? I know you are so now that we have that straight, here is my answer to your question. Yes, I absolutely would be bitching if this was Ebay. The car was clearly misrepresented in the original post. It clearly has a black interior, which makes it very desirable. A notch, with black interior. Could possibly be the most desirable, non-cobra fox body out there. Of course opinions differ on that. Now back to my point of you being a car dealer. Say you post a car with pictures on your website for work. Customer comes in and says hey I saw that red mustang with the black interior on your page, I'd like to see it. Your response "oh yeah that one. well it doesn't have a black interior anymore, now it's grey." You don't think your customer is going to be pissed about that? Another example. I am selling my mustang on here a few posts down from this one. Has really nice staggered rims on it in the pic. Lets say someone contacts me and says hey I am intersted in the car and then I say oh yeah, by the way, it doesn't really come with those rims. But that wasn't stated anywhere in the original ad.

Here is what I don't understand about you guys. You are all car guys. How do you not see an issue with the car being changed after it has already been posted, with no notes about that in the original ad? Had the ad said something about the interior being changed before sale, that would have been fine, as stated, I am no longer interested in the car. You can see that I posted my interest pretty quickly after seeing the original ad. Also, I consider an interior swap to be a pretty major project in any car. Dash, carpet, all panels, etc, have to come out. That's a lot of stuff. On an older car like this, the odds of pulling the panels and replacing them without breaking a million of the stupid clips Ford used are pretty damn slim.

Look, I realize I am clearly in the minority here. Always seem to be lately I guess. I just don't understand how I am on this one. As for most of you, why the fuck do you even care? I stated my interest to the seller, I didn't ask for anyone else's opinion on the car. As Waver stated, he owns the car, I don't. However I would have liked to very much so in it's original posted form. For everyone who thinks swapping a nice black interior out for a grey interior isn't a big deal in a fox-body, you clearly know absolutely nothing about what is desirable, makes them valuable, etc. If the interior is in nice shape, I have seen people pay $1000 bucks for the black, most of the time you couldn't give away the grey because they all had either that or porno red.

Now I will let it rest. I think. And oh yeah, just so you know where I am coming from, you don't know anything about me Waver. Here is a little piece so you can better know me. I don't have a job. I lost my job twice last year and haven't been able to find good paying employment since. So there is that. As for family, 2 of the most important people in my life passed away last year, my grandmother and my mother. My mother was only 58 years old. She passed very unexpectedly. My dad and I haven't spoke in over 4 years. I also had 2 uncles pass away last year. So there is that. So my close family is pretty slim. I have a lot of time on my hands, just trying to make it in life like everyone else... Take care.

Oh my god.. you seriously need to find something better to do with your time. If you're no longer interested in the car, move the fuck on. If you have no job you should spend your time finding one, not bitching about a car you're not buying on the internet. If your mom is 58, then you're my age and you know these are your prime years to be making money and squirreling away what you can for retirement. Get your priorities in order.

Well here is where buying from a private seller and dealership are different.... As a dealership, we would never get a car for the expressed intention for swapping the interior because there is no money in it for us...We are not a junk yard and we have access to NEW parts. A private seller dosnt have the resources like a big dealership. So with that being said, your entire rant is rendered invalid. However, lets say that we are in bizaro world and for the sake of argument we could do that....I see no where in his post where he said that the car had black interior. For all you know the black interior could of been junk and he had the gray interior sitting around and decided to swap it out before he sold it. Now I can understand the frustration if you actually drove from where you live, what is that, Jefferson(?), and actually looked at the vehicle in person. Did you do that? From what I can see here all that was done on your end is causal interest in the car or perhaps PIC HUNTING. When he told you that the car was getting a gray interior you choose to pass on it....No big deal. You are the one who proceeded to make a big deal out of it with your post accusing him of misrepresentation. You could of let it go and moved on.

Another example. I am selling my mustang on here a few posts down from this one. Has really nice staggered rims on it in the pic. Happens all the time....you thank them for letting you know that and then you decide to move on with the car or pass it....You dont tell the guy YOU LIED TO ME. You act like an adult and you move on....This is why you always ask.

Here is what I don't understand about you guys. You are all car guys. It has nothing to do with being a car guy. What you fail to see why no one is making a big deal out of it is because for the most part we are adults. You asked for pics of the interior. He said that he would get you them at the end of the week. When asked why he told you that he is switching them out....If it were me, I would of thanked him and told him that the only reason why I wanted the car is because it had the black interior and then left it be....YOU continued on with it, not Stew. As far as the swap goes, I take it you have never even done one on any of the Fox Body cars that you claim to have owned. It is a rather easy job, especially when you have the right tools. If you damage a clip or two, not a big deal as there are these things called part stores that carry them, or you can even order them from thousands of Mustang restoration places for dirt cheap.....The only thing that I will agree apon is that no one wants PORNO RED. Gray is a popular color still. People pay 1,000 for a complete V8/GT interior in black....no one pays that much for the 4 cyl ones....I know because I had a 4 cyl black interior for sale a few years ago, and it brought no where near 1,000.

Now I will let it rest. I think. And oh yeah, just so you know where I am coming from, you don't know anything about me Waver. Here is a little piece so you can better know me. I am sorry to hear that people are passing away all around you and that you lost your job twice last year and are unemployed now. I get that things are tough, I really do, however things are a lot tougher for others on here. Hell, the last two years havent been roses for me either. That isnt going to change the way things are. Your protests arnt going to change anything either. Here is a little bit of free advice.....instead of worrying about the stuff that you cant change, worry about the stuff you can.

I'm focusing a lot of energy on not being as big of an asshole as I have been most of my life. You're making that difficult. You saw something you might be able to make a buck on, and when you found out that things aren't always as they appear you got salty and very publicly, and repeatedly pouted. I ain't misrepresented shit. And I don't need to defend myself to you or your crybaby accusations. As far as breaking "the million plastic clips," there aren't many plastic clips in these at all. Add to that, this is the second interior swap I've done on this car, and this will be the sixth or seventh time I've ripped an interior out of a fox, I'm familiar with the fragile bits and don't brake them.

I had a whole bunch of other shit to say and ammo to knock down your pathetic gripes but I'm not gonna waste any more time. I have a job to finish so I can sell this car. Then I'm gonna take this mint, all OEM, all original black, small headrest tweed sport seats, tweed back seat, tweed door panels, factory armrest delete, lighted visors, working factory ashtray door, map light, and perfect headliner; and I'm gonna put that all in my Calypso notchback. So you keep sitting there pouting, I'm gonna get back to building my car.

    Have a nice day!

I guess I don't understand that if you're unemployed why are you spending your money on a fox? Its clearly a toy. Furthermore, no one in their right mind is buying this particular car for investment purposes, let alone as a rare specimen.

I guess for 2k, what the hell do you want?, its a clean car, basically a good roller for a myriad of swaps. If its rust free, its worth every penny, and if I hadn't just gotten married, this would be in my driveway, but I'm pretty sure my wife would kill me if i added to the driveway.

I'm very sorry about your year, but like others have said, we all have problems, its not an excuse to come on here and bitch at someone selling a car.

Bottom line is don't be a douche about something you assumed, stew never mis-represented himself. Go cry in a corner.

I seem to remember a certain Porno Red interior car not sitting very long on your lot (or never even making it to the lot). I guess some people like them, lol.

This thread is officially better than the bitchfest about oxman's parts that he didn't sell to poor caddy.. seeing as he doesn't even want to buy the car and its still gone on this long.

I'd like to know what kind of shitty offer he was gonna give since he says a black interior is the only way this car is worth two stacks. So he said the car is worth two grand with black guts, and the guts are worth a grand. So what the fuck was he even gonna do if I was selling it with black interior? think I would take some shitty $750 offer? I doubt he's got the gumption to speak up on what his plan was, but I'd love to hear what his plan was.

I honestly didn't have a plan. I've never owned a notch, or a fox with a black interior, so it was a rare first for me. I've owned 10 foxes so I wanted something completely different. I believe them to be the most desirable non-cobra fox so it was very intriguing to me. Since I've had so many, I wanted to get something that was totally new to me. I've also never owned a 4cyl stang so I figured it might be cool to build one, I've seen some damn fast 4cyl foxes. I worked with a guy at my last job that did paint and body work at a hot rod shop for 30 years so at some point I'd definitely paint the car. Since I'm not working I don't have tons of cash right now, but Ibegot enough to buy the car for 2k. It was something totally new to me. Familiar platform, yet totally different. So yeah, I got pissed when I saw the interior would be swapped. Not going to rehash it again, but that's why I was pissed. What I saw, and what I'd be buying were different. The interior looks very nice no doubt, grey just doesn't do anything for me at all. So that was my plan. Thought I'd found a diamond in the rough, now it's just another 4cyl fox to me.

As for being a dick. It's a character flaw. A big one. It gets the better of me more often than I'd like.
