Fellow Consumers...

Good afternoon fellow consumers.. I have a an experience I would like to share, regarding a local business called Import Minded.

After my recent experience, customer minded, they are not.


This was the review I left, on their page regarding my experience.

Rather than striving to do better, this was their response. They have a good tuner there from what I hear. To bad he works for that company.

I'd rather take the time and go out of state then support this local business.

Being put on hold three different times, for 30-35 minutes, on three seperate calls, over the course of the same 45 minute time span, is a bit ridiculous in this day and age. A simple "hey let us call you back or call us back at (enter time).

I'll take my money and my business elsewhere.

Edit: Once Import Minded learned about my review, this was their response...

"I just have finished checking the reviews that you gave everyone except Late Model Throttle. You have a serious mental problem. When you called I was out doing business. Take your junk somewhere else I don't need to waste my time with you. Go find somemore businesses to bash loser!"

Who did you talk to and left that reply to your review? I know the owner and he's always been great to me. He's even handed over the keys to the dyno and let my friend and I tune for hours. .

I'm not sure if it was Lorn or Steve..

What happened is this, a week ago I scheduled an appointment with the owner/tuner Steve Koller. He scheduled it for 09/01/14, Labor Day. I called back and asked if they were open that day, Steve thanked me for reminding him ( that his own business wasn't open that day) and we rescheduled for today, 09/02 11:00AM.

Due to work constraints (eg.. Had to send someone to jail, for retail theft) I was unable to make today's appointment. I attempted to call three separate times, over the course of an hour, being placed on hold, all three times, ranging 10-15 minutes, each time.

By that point I was fed up. I was no longer interested in what services they had to offer. I posted a negative review, briefly describing what occurred and what the result was.

Once the owner saw that, the owner personally attacked me, stating that..

-My car is junk
-I'm mental
-I'm a loser

This is the owner, mind you in reaction to a negative review. I can only imagine the horrors a paying customer must have to go through, if they are not satisfied with the work.

The only two bad reviews are import minded and Magic Waters.

The guy is throwing shit at the wall, to see what sticks.

That's not good. Steve has always treated me well. Things might be bad there now causing him to act like an asshole. It's been about a year since I used the dyno there last so not sure how things are going for Steve and his shop.
Either way he shouldn't trash potential customers especially if the ship is sinking.

So you were not able to make a set appointment, then you got angry they were fumbling you around on the phone ?

So its a 50/50 mix up, relax its okay !!!

I'm just happy there was a post on this forum. It doesn't really effect me, seeing as I do not, and never will own an import, but I'm happy theres still breathing people using this website.

Initially my issue wasn't with Steve, it was his staff. That's why I submitted that review.

When Steve went off the deep end, that's what cemented it.

I realize it was a simple miscommunication however, that does not justify Steve making personal attacks and insults.
