    2013 Packers Predictions

Now that the preseason is over, any thoughts on the regular season? Preseason looked pretty rough even though it was preseason and doesn't matter. I'm still trying to figure out why we cut Vince Young and I can't understand why. Right now we only have 2 QBs, Rogers and Coleman. Harrell and Coleman were terrible, for only being on the roster 3 weeks, Young looked pretty impressive. He was the only QB besides Rogers to sustain a drive. Yes turnovers are a concern but the guy was only here a few weeks, he will have more time to learn the offense. I do think we have a reliable RB in Lacy, hopefully the run game is better than years previous (not hard to do).

Overall I'll say 9-7 because the non-division schedule looks pretty rough.

Preseason was shaky for sure. I like your call of 9-7

11-5. The only way we lose the division/or go less than 10-6 is with a major injury.

    10-6 guess here.

I think once Lacy gets some big time reps and the o-line finds a groove the offense is gonna be pretty hard to stop. Hopefully hopefully once Burnett and Hayward are back the secondary can be average again.

Its been my observation that nothing good comes of Jarrett Bush being in the secondary like he was on Sunday.

Bush has grown into a special teams monster and an okay 4th or 5th corner. He's not a fraction of the liability he was 3-4 years ago. All of the big plays on Sunday were given up by our safeties, with Morgan Burnett out, it is definitely the weak spot in the defense.

Sunday's game was close, we proved we can stick with the big boys. The Packers are playing like they belong a notch below the elite teams, I don't think there's any way we can match up to Denver currently.

11-5, NFC North Champions, maybe we finally beat the 49ers in the playoffs, but I bet we lose to someone else. Who knows, maybe the early bye will put us into a rhythm for the second half of the year, we'll stay healthy and get hot, the running game gets going and we have a decent shot at making a run.

Bet your prediction didn't include a division title though. What a crazy season.

I'll go on the record for admitting how wrong I was about Burnett and Hayward above though. Sheesh. At least we didn't just load Burnett's pockets with cash... oh wait, never mind.

Predicting 8-8 was probably not including a long term Rodgers injury . If so, you're pretty damn good. If he didn't miss time they would of been 10-6 or 11-5 no doubt, maybe even 12-4. They only got pounded by Detroit, all other losses were close...enough that he could of made the difference. Doesn't matter though, we we're the best of a crappy division, but really...show me a team that didn't make the Playoffs in the NFC (or AFC for that matter) that is better than the Packers with #12 back. Not expecting them to win, just winning the division with all the injuries makes for a decent year. Now it's playing with house money. I personally love getting a crack at the 49ers as an underdog that no one expects much out of.

I like the fact that the packers are a team with nothing to lose.. That is very dangerous for other teams.

Last time we didn't have a run game. But we still have a defense that couldn't stop the ST Norbert's cheer leading squad.
