Average numbers for a 5.0 Coyote?

Just curious what numbers you've seen if you've had any 5.0 Coyotes come through with similar mods.

Currently just on a JLT CAI, Bama Cam Tune, Borla Axleback, resonator and sound tube delete. Will be installing my Boss 302 intake manifold one of these weekends when it's not 95+ outside.

    Manual '13 car with 3.31's.
Well, at the very least, I have an interesting back story.

350-360 stock, 390 with intake/tune/catback with long tubes seen them touch 410 with same base mods.
2012 Cruze ECO M6 - Crystal Red- Just a little more boost than stock!

I have heard of some people hitting higher numbers than that stock....closer to 380. In fact, when Johnny2k drove one and then drove his cobra, he said the 5.0 felt like it had a lot more power.

365-375 Stock is a strong "average". With your mods 390ish... these are numbers associated with dyno jets. I would highly suggest not using the Boss intake with your current mods. You will lose a ton of low end but only gain some up top, your peak number and shift point will move to 7500rpm. I would also strongly consider lossing the Bama tune and move to a AED tune. Your more than welcome to drive mine to experience the AED movement ; )

    Good luck.

Yep, some even 420ish... but the large TQ gain down low with LT's is where the cost becomes worth it imo. Lots of dyno sheets showing 35 ft lb gain around 3500-4500rpm over stock headers.

I've been contemplating AED. Been in touch with Sean. I did a fair amount of datalogging with Bama as at the time last year . I was one of the first 2013 folks with the JLT, and we probably did 5 revisions to get it where it is now. Not entirely sure I'll put headers on it simply because of the volume added. For example had offroad mid pipes and pulled them when I swapped the exhaust from the FRPP to the Borla. To much volume for a vert. Got a really good price on the Boss manifold otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.

Have a lot in the air and Mustang modding is now low priority, especially since I kinda went crazy on it last year. Planning a wedding, have a vacation coming up, getting our house ready for selling, and possibly may move for a job which will put the other two on hold and require a lot of action in a short time.

Gotcha, give it a shot its an easy swap as long as you have a tune file for it on tap... but I have a feeling you might fall back to the stock intake; esc with a vert.

Like I said if your local your more than welcome to drive mine. Also, shawn does free revisions with an added mod. I hate band wagon jumpers, but shawn's tunes really live up to the hype.

Well if it helps I recently ran a 12.7 @ 114mph on street tires (2.0-2.1 60ft) at GLD.

There are some web sites that have calculators to cross reference. My next mod is a one piece drive shaft in preparation for the Paxton 2200 : )

Can your shawn guy (or anyone else here for that matter) do a ghost cam tune? Before you all blast me on that, I'm just asking.

If you are talking about Sean out at Aed then yes he does ghost cam. He did my friends new '13 5.0 and it sounded awesome.

I am not a fan of the ghost tune just for the "sound" of cams.

Agreed, to fake for me... But ya Shaun is the 5.0 tuning go too.
Although once boosted he won't do data logs for tuning unless on a dyno. So, I will have to rent a dyno and Shaun tunes it from there. Not sure how many shops around here will not take that offensively though lol?

I do believe you can rent LMT's dyno and do your own tuning...

I already spent this years allowance though, so you're safe. Before that though I would probably spend allowance to dump the cats because I've heard it can foul them out.

Can Tom do ghost cam tunes?

First time I ever heard of such nonsense! Listened to a couple vids, sounds like a real big overlap cam to me. kinda cool idea and I can understand the logic in the calibration to get there. Not something I'd ever attempt though, except maybe my cruze since it has independent cam timing... But lopey idle 4 bangers just don't sound anywhere near cool either.

I refuse to educate my self with new things to tuning on other people's cars lol.

Its essentially what Ford does with the boss 302 red/track key when you enable/use it. They haven't and I'd imagine can't really ban or force people not to tune their regular 5.0 car that way, but for natonally prominent tuners I know they've come out and asked them not to do it. I think probably more to add to the exclusivity of the boss than some copyright thing. Shrug.

I've got mixed feelings on it I guess, just didn't know if there was even anyone around still offering them as an option. You can leave every other part of the tune stock, just change the idle cam timing and get the sound.
