Thank You Clocks Off Racing !!! - Gasser front end rebuild -

Ron has helped me with Four projects this year

    1. Aluminum heads ( drilling steam holes )
    2. Ordering Baer Breaks
    3. Redoing my Nova's front end
    4. Stainless Exhaust

Most of you know I purchased this Last October, with buying any car there are always things to fix or do different. One thing that needed to be addressed was the front end, the axle was installed upside down, shocks were at a radical angle and the geometry ( Caster and Camber ) was Horrible.

Ron stopped by with the trailer and seen what the deal was, 2 weeks later ( 4 days ago ) he dropped it of. Well I drove the hell out of it, hit some nasty streets and it drives 100% different.

    100% better

While in the shop I had him install 3" stainless exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers, sounds much better then I would have thought out of a 400SBC

I will get some exhaust pictures up in the next few days

    Ron Thanks again !!!

Ron is the man! Car looks great. You need to toss some BFG Bias Plys up front on that thing. Would look SO much better than the little radials

The ride won't be worse LOL. I drive mine all over with bias plys and slicks. Drives, steers, handles great.

Yeah, many of these suspensions were designed w/ bias ply's in mind...so they really don't degrade that much, if at all, going from radials. And for the purposes brad wishes to use his car (clearly not for corner-carving handling), they probably will work as well/better.

IMO these cars are just as much about the LOOK as the actual performance since who is really driving their car to the full extent of its performance potential all the time? Brad's car has the look of a period gasser. The square shouldered bias ply tire looks 10x better than any radial. Plus, the bias ply tire will be taller by comparison which just looks much better on the car. my 800x14 bias plys look and work great. The car tracks straight and you can drive down the road with two fingers on the steering wheel. Like Chris mentioned, turning/handling is nonexistent with a bias ply tire but you adjust your driving style just a tad and you are fine. You just can't go blasting through corners or pull into driveways fast with them which again, thats the ONLY negative.

If your fronts are 15s then you could go with these....they fit a 15x6 wheel perfect. What size are your fronts?
