    Homebuilt Twins!

Well, I decided to take the car in a new direction this year. I wanted something a lot more streetable, milder motor and pump gas friendly, but still be capable of an 8 second pass if I wanted to run race gas. So what we came up with is a 370" SBF with twin 60mm Borg Warner Turbos, air/air intercooler, powerglide, and of course a carb. All of it was built by me and my friends, which I can't thank enough.

The turbo kit consists of flipped JBA shorty stainless headers that were laying around the shop, 2.5" piping to the turbos, 3.5" downpipes, 3" cold side to the intercooler, and 3.5" from the cooler to the motor. The engine bay got a little love too with new fender aprons and frame rails forward of the front plate so we could put the radiator back in the stock location. It also got a new coat of paint, too.

So far it is a blast on 15psi! It might see a dyno in the future, it might not. One thing is for sure, it will get beaten on the street and driven like crazy!

Same old junker on the outside!

What do you think it'll turn on "street trim" w/ pump gas?

    Awesome!

How is the exhaust routed after it goes into the fenders?

Thanks guys! The exhaust just exits out in front of the front tire, reson being less tubing and fab work that way, lol. It isn't that loud at all, and it doesn't smell half as bad inside the car as the old setup did with the dump to the rear axle. Doesn't get as hot inside either.

Don't know! I know for sure it is slower than the old setup though, haha.

The fact that the word "milder" was used in this amuses me.

You must have never seen the old setup.

Thanks! It isn't the most ideal exhaust for a street car, but it is pretty quiet for what it is. I was going for simplicity, and the exhaust side doesn't get much better than what I got in that department.
