I picked Silva to win and for that won a 'hundy' from a guy I play softball with.

I was very, very disappointed in Sonnen's performance.

I was not disappointed in Sonnen's performance but rather expected much more from him. I don't know what the deal was with him falling after that spinning back fist. He threw that with everything he had but to fall like that tells me he was starting to get tired and lost his balance. Regardless, that knee from Silva was BRUTAL and anybody would have curled up like he did.

This fight was very different than the first for many reasons. Chael's only chance of beating Silva was their first fight. A win which would have been changed to a loss regardless had he not been almost put to sleep by that triangle.

Without a doubt yes but only until Jon Jones takes that crown. When is hard to say but I see no reason why it will not happen. Of course this is assuming Jones continues to destroy top level guys like he has. Silva is an amazing fighter but Jones has and will fight better opponents at LHW and eventually HW too. Jon Jones is the blueprint for the ultimate fighting machine and the ‘future’ of MMA.

The hardest part for me in the Silva v Jones consideration, is the factory of longevity. Jones started as a flash but has been working to maintain his domination, Silva just has the head start on beating top tier fighters.
The biggest difference to me is personalty, where Jones although humble still knows how good he is and isn't afraid to say it. Silva carries himself with confidence, and after all the shit talking Sonnen did, still carried himself like a pro who KNEW he was the boss.

    I agree^
I've always liked Silva and always will.

The better opponents comment is an opinion. Maybe you should go back and look the opponents over again. Look at who they beat just prior to being demolished.

I can't count how many times people have said Anderson will lose just to be proven wrong.

Even though he is one of the world's top fighters, I don't like him.

I can't wait for the day that someone knocks him out!!!! ......if that ever happens lol.

I think Silva is pound for pound best mma fighter and a way to solidify this would be for him to fight either Jones or GSP. I'm not sure if GSP could or would jump up to 185 for the fight and I'm sure Silva wouldnt be as good at 170. Now since Silva has fought at 205 vs Griffin and did damn good, he would again be good at that weight against Jones. This would probably be the best fight in UFC history or MMA history for that matter. Will it happen, maybe. You can say Silva is cocky but he produces and that's what counts. Not like guys like Sonnen who talk so much shit and never held a belt.

Anderson would beat GSP at any weight. I don't even think it would be close. Silva and Jones would be the fight of the century. They have similar striking styles so it would be very interesting. IMO jones is a bigger version of Anderson.

Ortiz's "winning" days really weren't all that long. He's been injured so frequently. I remember the whole "Tito vs Dana White fight" that was supposed to happen. Tito is past his prime, and should have quit one of the 3 other times he thought he would be done.
