    2002 trailblazer ??

    does anybody have a "how to" on replacing the alternator?? or any tips/tricks that will make it easier? thank you..

    disconnect the battery (unless you are daring with electricity)
    remove the belt tensioner on lower rh of engine, turn with 3/8" ratchet
    remove the bolt attaching ac line to engine lift bracket
    remove bolts from lift bracket and remove bracket
    remove the bolts and connector on the alt
    reverse process to install

    not trying to be a smartass, it literally is that straight forward and easy, only pays .7 hour to replace.

    Yea my cousin was telling me the fan had to come out and what not thats why I asked.. My dad and I ended up getting it done in less than 2 hours. Thanks for the input.

    Fan comes out in about 5 minutes if you've done them before FYI.
