they are pretty cool guys over there. After I went through hours of searching ls1tech for the "best" cam I just ended up calling them and talking over my setup and goals. Pretty nice guys, knew their product well.

If I could afford heads I would definitely be thinking of a bigger cam. For now tho it seems the 228r is what I'll plan on going with. If it puts me right around 400 ide be happy with the car. The other thing I need to work on is a new exhaust. I just can't work with this slp any more. To loud and didn't sound the way I want. Granted it didn't have a muffler.

FYI on CL there is an SLP dual/dual for sale. Quietest, yet best flowing exhaust for 4th gen.

I would go with the the hooker aerochamber. Best sounding on our cars imo.

Actually saw a cammed Camaro SS with the dual/dual yesterday. Sounded great with headers!

No, this is the optional SLP catback that the SS and Firehawk could be ordered with. It outflows any of them and is very mellow sounding. Not 2 on the left. BADLS1 had that. Hooker is good to, but I have heard it has rust issues?

Mine has not rusted at all. Best sounding IMO. I have had 7 different exhausts on my car.

We will probably be running a Cam, gaskets, install, tune special come spring time for LS powered cars.

I'll be putting it in. But it will need a tune after. I asked you when you came into oreilly the other day but I forgot. How much would it cost me to tune it up after I get it all done?

If you need help with the cam let me know. I've got the needed tools (lifter hold-up rods, valve spring compressor, crank pulley installer) and will help with anything on the FRONT half of the engine. With half your engine being under the cowl, you're on your own there. LOL

I hope you also ordered a new crank pulley bolt as well.

No I didn't order a new crank pulley bolt I forgot about that. Who might have one I can order? I might take you up on the lifter rods. Probably work better than what I was going to use.

I ordered mine with the cam from TSP. Go with the ARP bolt. The rods I made are 5/16" steel... worked fine for me.
