    4L60E question.

Trans in the camaro is messed up. Noticed it wasnt locking up on the freeway the other day. So I get off the freeway and the car drives fine until 30 mph then just revs. I can put it in low no problems. Same with 2nd. Its only in Drive or overdrive where its messed up. Anyone have any issues like this?

only way to fix is to rebuild nick since all that crap is floating around in there now, also need to quit driving it around cause it will eat itself if not and the convertor if not already will be shit too

At min your into pulling the pan, vb, band anchor pin, 2/4 servo Assy, pump, band and input assembly, the 3/4 clutches are right on the end of it. So only half the trans has to come apart lol. If there is silver shit in the pan your completely sol. If there is just black grit, it's just clutch lining.

I drove mine for 6 months like that, knew I was gonna have it rebuilt with a new stall so I wasn't concerned. The oil came out like chocolate syrup when I finally removed it from the car.

sounds like a great excuse for a full rebuild, shift kit, and a stall.
