Do want, I've been eyeing the PK380 since before they came out. Let me know what you think of it if you get one.

Thinking my full sized 1911 as well, or if I end up buying another hand gun maybe a beretta 92fs or m9 or maybe a beretta in .40 S&W. Nothing says you fucked with the wrong guy like staring down a 5in barrel in .45 ACP with some hollow points waiting on the other end.

    Resurrecting this thread.....

I sold my H&K USP 9mm at a gun show this weekend for $535, and picked up a brand new Walther PK380 for $373 for my CCW. I'm thinking of getting the Theis holster for it as well. Hopefully I'll have time to go shoot it this Weds after work. Any complaints about the PK380 from those of you that own one?

Out of curiosity, how will the ccw bill change how handguns can be transported in vehicles? Do they still have to be cased and out of the drivers compartment?

So it can be holstered on you, or in your glove box or under your seat? Basically it no longer matters if it is loaded and within reach?

Correct me if I am wrong I thought I read some where that carrying it this way is only an option for conceal carry permit holders. If you do not have a permit it has to be unloaded and cased. Also long guns like Riffles and shotguns also have to be unloaded and cased.

Edit This is from the DOJ Student handbook.

    Weapons in Vehicles
License holders may carry a loaded, concealed handgun in a vehicle. Rifles and
shotguns, however, must be unloaded and enclosed in a case that is completely
zipped, snapped, buckled, tied or otherwise fastened with no part of the firearm
    exposed

Makes sense. Why would anything change for a non-permit holder?

Sorry, my question was asked assuming an individual in question was a permit holder.

Been pocketing my dads little Charter Arms 38 for over a year now, fits in shorts pockets, jean pockets, in your sock with no holster. If I buy another it will be another tiny 38, shoot a couple logs or cinderblocks and you will find a 38 is a nasty little, tiny round I would not want to be hit with.

They never had to be out of the drivers compartment in WI. Just cased and unloaded. When you have a valid concealed permit you may have a loaded uncased handgun in your car anywhere, (feel free to put it in the trunk) you may NOT however have an uncased or loaded rifle or shotgun in a car, regardless of permit status.

Back to the theme... one of my favorite carry pieces.
