Need more garage / wall space? Put the long stuff on the cieling!

Saw this in a magazine and built two racks for the garage, everything is stored above the garage door. Now I have more wall space for cabinets / shelving or floorspace for another motorcycle

Each one is made up of 2 8" pieces of 2x4 and 2 pieces 28" long. Need two per "rack". Heres some photos, thought someone struggling with a tiny garage or even someone with too many ladders could put some racks like these to good use.

My Dad has 12' ceilings and an 16'x8' door so he's got giant shelves above the door 3' deep. Has all the camping stuff up there. I've got 8' doors but only a 10' ceiling so I can't fit much up there. I've been looking into those garage door tracks that move the door all the way up to the ceiling and migrating to torsion bar mounted garage door openers. Problem is that my garage door openers are commercial and I hate to replace them. It's nice to have the doors all the way up to the ceiling because you get more light and more wall space.
Buy made in the United States. Otherwise your job might be next. Unless you already wear black shoes and a visor with golden arches on it to work in which case your fellow american has already failed you.
