Does Anyone Have Any Tips On Getting Rid Of Voles/Moles?

Every spring when the snow melts in different areas of the yard you can see where they were burrowing under the snow through the grass and they are chewing the shit out of my lawn.

Any ideas? I think I may know where one hole is but there have to be more for as much damage as there is. I've been thinking about dumping some poison in the hole but there are some dogs in the neighborhood that roam around from time to time and sometimes my cats get out. I would hate for someones pet to end up with that shit in their system.

I know they come out in dusk/dawn becuase they don't like direct sunlight, too bright so it makes it kind of hard to hunt them down.

    These things suck!!!

Ive actually heard to put wrigley's juicy fruit gum down their holes. Apparently they can't resist it and it clogs up their digestive system and they die. Kind of a harsh way to die though. I know there are vole traps too. they only live like 6-12 months but they reproduce like crazy.

Thank you for thinking of area dogs and your cat.

I have no suggestions, but recommend anything that is humane, obviously.

Juicy Fruit eh? I will try that one out. The dynamite would be sweet but no dice. Hunting them is also not an option, Im a terrible shot and would probably end up shooting my own eye out! lol

i know this is an old post, have you tried, mowing the grass REALLY short just before winter, they don't like it and normally move on..

Those black rat traps from ace / menards work great, dish them up with peanut butter and you will be getting chipmunks and voles faster then you can empty them.

Buy a dog. We had 3 dachshunds and they made quick work of the HUGE mole infestation in our backyard @ Arizona. You couldn't even sit patio chairs in certain spots without falling through.

Buy made in the United States. Otherwise your job might be next. Unless you already wear black shoes and a visor with golden arches on it to work in which case your fellow american has already failed you.
