    Chassis Certification

Has anyone heard if GLD is going to have someone from NHRA come in for chassis certification this year? Typically it was in April and by appointment only. I can't find anything on it for 2011.

I was talking to Prescott Philips about it, it sounds like they will be but I do not know dates/times or contact info. I will ask him for more info.

Thanks for the reply. It's been tagged previously but fell out of date so just need a re-cert.

Cool. Thanks for the update 885.0stang.

WOW....so GLD has to get their cut to have a vehicle trailered in, tagged and taken home. Unbelieveable.

I know. I wanna say it is up to $150 now. I will have to look at my paperwork but I swear when I got it cert'd 3-4 years ago it was $75, but I could be wrong.
Just doesn't make sense to me to charge $10 just to bring a car with no motor/trans thru the gate to get an updated tag and leave. Don't get me wrong, it's a lousy $10 but it's the point. Should have it that if you have an actual appointment there is no gate fee...although if you dont have an appointment and doing a "walk up" thing then charging the $10.
