    2002 gmc sierra 4x4 wheel bearing question

    i need to replace the wheel bearing on my step dads truck. its the front passenger side. 2 questions

    1. how hard is it too do?
    2. anyone know what size the axle nut is? i wanna make sure i have the right size socket

    It shouldn't be too bad on that being that its not super old. Hardest part is getting the 4 bolts out of the back that hold the hub on the spindle, some times they like to seize. Make sure you have a good 6 point socket on those because if you round one off its a bitch to get them out. Pretty sure thats a 15 mm socket for those 4 bolts.

    The big nut that holds the half shaft into the hub is a 35mm, Most hub nut socket sets have 34mm and 36mm. I used the 36mm and it worked fine. I have the hub sockets if you need to borrow them just let me know.
