    9" questions...

A kid made a mistake in the shop...dad wanted him to remove the whole rear-end assembly (64 Ford pick-up), and instead started remove the ring and pinion housing/pumpkin. He did this by first unbolting and removing the pinion carrier, and pulling the pinion out, which itself was the wrong way to remove the pumkin (he's a good kid, just overly enthusiastic about unbolting stuff, lol).

So, basically got him back on the right path...

    but:
    1) Does someone need to reshim/re-set up the ring and pinion now?

    2) Does the carrier bolt up using one time use fasteners? Or can the fasteners be reused?

    thanks,
    chris
