You might want to get a roof rake and take care of that before it causes problems.

Thats why you use a roof rake, you can stand on the ground and pull it down. No lifting, and no worry of falling. Unless you have a 2 story then its kind of hard to use.

Most hardware stores carry them for about $30

You guys have snow on your roof? Other than one small patch it all blew right off with the high winds

A rake wouldn't work in this case, I know what your talking about I use one at my grandmas house to clear her roof. Because of the cold we got soo soon after the snow it is VERY difficult to move.

This Acalanche is kind of expensive but it WORKS!

We use it on the lake house our family has in Rhinelander. Even with heavy hard snow, you can push this through and the slow literally just falls down.

If you rake the snow down after a fall you wont get ice! Snow gathers, melts (from poor insulation) and comes down as iceicles from your gutter.

I waited till Dec to check my attic....could use about 20 bags of insulation...hence the roof shovel purchase

Lucky for me I have a ton of insulation in my attic so the snow isn't iceing up my gutters, still need to clear the roof though as it ain't getting any lighter. Then again I hear we will be in the 40s for a few days so that should make it easy.
