    Cooling ??

Put a new radiator in the Mustang.
At interstate speeds it doesn't run any cooler, unless it is below 40*
then it seems not to warm up at all.

It will cool down between 40-55 mph

At slow speed it heats up but I have no shroud wich is the problem.
Going to pull apart tomorrow to get some dual fans from a Contour
or Mystique. Should solve the low speed issue.

is the shroud affecting the high speed cooling ??

    Thanks, Mike

yes the shroud is a big issue, anything over 40 it should not need a fan unless you run the air if it has it.what temp t stat is in it

Thanks, I am in New Orleans right now. Won't be back up in WI until summer. Going to look around at the Pull a Part and see what I can find.

With the stock radiator and electric fan it seemed to run cooler ??

I have another 14" fan, what if I put that one on the front ? They won't fit side by side.

very possible the stock fan may have pushed more air,the stock fan on my 1994 GT i found out pushed more air that the flex a lite that i had on it,once switched back temps went back to normal on mine too

Yeah on my 90gt with the Boss 347 and Strim The dual contour fans solved all my problems.

I picked up another fan controller too. An adjustable one from 160-210.
Figure I will use the dual set up. Put one fan on the controller that is in there now. And the other to where I feel comfortable with the temp in traffic.

Top fan looks like a dual speed Taurus fan, that's what I run on my GT with zero cooling issues, but then again I have a Dart block so I don't know how much that contributes to the cooling effect of the fans.

Guess it helps to have the fan turning in the right direction.
I just figured the black wire was ground, not.
Put the Taurus fan in, man that Bitch pulls some air.
It roasted the 25a fuse but I did have it connected backwards.
I put in a 40A circuit breaker, seems fine now. I felt the wires
just to make sure they weren't getting hot.

My Taurus fan is wired low only, 75a Bosch relay with an adjustable controller and a toggle switch. I have the switch so I can have fan off, fan on and fan controlled by the controller.

Yeah you really have to have relays on those fans. And a big 100+ alt, they just pull alot of juice from the battery. I think they peak AMPs is over what most guys are comfortable with thus they go with flex-lite, but with some good relays your fine.
