i have been looking on and off for a few BFG posters and havent had much luck, i've thought about finding a good picture of it and having fedex kinkos or someplace blow it up....

Technically both are copyrighted posters/images/logos etc so both would be illegal. Is it OK that I take your TV from your home and use it without your consent? No because that is stealing also.

Artwork, photography, design, posters whatever are copyrighted and owned by the creator/originator.

I work in the graphic design field so I know all too well that taking things and using them without permission is commonplace nowadays but it still doesn't make it right. The biggest issue with the suggestion posted of "go get some copies made and sell them on Ebay...." is that isn't your work. You don't have the right to reprint the poster and re-distribute it for profit. Now selling an original on Ebay is another story....it was printed and paid for by the owner of that art/poster/image etc.

Don't steal, it's bad mmmkay.

Plus, a lot of places like office max, office depot, kinkos ect wont make copys of them (you would need them to do it to get the nice quality paper) because of the trademarks on them.

but the only compensation that BFGoodrich was looking for was the to cover the shipping aspect of the poster, I dont recall seeing a Copyright on any of the BFG posters I have had they are free + ship

A picture doesn't have to have a copyright or trademark on it, it is automatically covered by such laws. I can guarantee if you printed those and started selling them on ebay you would get sued by BF. They have teams of lawyers just waiting for $hit like that. Not worth the risk.
