    Restored 80 Rabbit?

Odd thing to spend that much $$ on but looks like it was done right.

I'm not a big VW guy, but i have noticed over the last few years people restoring alot of 80s and 90s cars you wouldn't expect. there are a few 240sx restos going on currently and a bunch of Nissan Z cars.

and VW guys love there VWs so im assuming it would sell quick.

55+ mpg thats a car I had always hoped to find in a barn with no miles on it
Hell car looks pretty nice, being secure in my manhood I would drive the wheels of it.

That thing looks better and cleaner than a new car. I would be too paranoid to drive it but I love to have that thing in my garage!

Figure it's 30 year old car, why not restore one?

If I had won the Mega Millions Jackpot last week, I would be buying that car right now. Otherwise, I would want to be past the 6-figure income level before seriously entertaining the idea.

Imagine showing up to a concours event with that car and parking it next to a Veyron.

Lots of VW restorations going on. On the Vortext you can find other late 80s Golfs being restored also. VW has always had owners that really appreciate their cars and the quirkiness of them. Not uncommon in southern California to see these old Rabbits slammed with wire wheels and a surfboard rack on top. Still tons of them out there

Guy I sold some tires to last year had a cool VW rabbit pickup truck, said he got 40 mpg's quite regularly and was restoring it slowly. Pretty cool looking cars.
