why not just get the big bore shock kit? they have the aluminum caps(not blue) and they have the threaded bodies and titanium shafts

should be about the same price, and atleast you can keep your stock shocks together "just in case"

    I was thinking about that...

or just do the Ti rods, and the alum shock caps, and then these will be set.

    options are out there...

DON'T put the caps on the plastic body. One good hit it will break off and it's next to impossible to seperate. And as far the steering linkage is concerned I have never seen the strc one in use but I have had the traxxas one for the 2whl slash and it's JUNK. It is a known issue where the center link will wear away and one wheel will wander more then the other. Best steering I have used is the stock 4x4. Not much bling though

have you poked a hole in the tires? reading up on stuff it seems you need to "vent" the tires with a little hole because dirt and moisture can build up inside and without a way out could cause a vibration

I have an HPI RS4 Evo nitro that I'm turning into a drag car. I'm actually making my own parts and retro fitting 1/8 scale wheels to the 1/10th scale chassis.

Designing a one piece chassis that I'm going to get 3d printed so that everything from the motor mounts to the shock towers are part of the chassis eliminating a significant amount of bolts and weight.

well that will have to get a pic on her. That sound sweet

As far as diff grease you can put at least 10,000 in the rear and 5,000-7,000 in the front. Thats kind of the ratio between the front and rear were you want to keep it. Since it will be out side most of the time you probably could go a little higher, but I don't know how high they go. I have used ofna brand diff grease.
