Anyone ever done an ATF Form 4?

So I've been looking at some Class 3 goodies, which are transferrable on a form 4 (an AOW shotgun specifically) and I'm wondering if anyone around here specifically in Milwaukee county has ever done a Form 4 transfer before? Basically the process as I understand it is that you have some photos taken, get fingerprinted, and get the form signed.

That's all very fine and dandy but most sellers want the money up front and I'm worried that the chief law enforcement officer may decline to sign the form for "political" reasons. Which would of course mean I'm out the money for the item.

Because Sheriff Clarke isn't taking my calls right now... I think he's still upset about a reference I made to Blazing Saddles and his hat the other day.

From my checking last year it sounded like he specifically does not sign them. At least that's what his secretary said.

What I just found out on a different website... which now that I think about it... I already knew... is to form a trust or LLC. Well, I already have the trust and I'm in the process of forming an LLC for my existing business. Now I just need to figure out the process for that (and find the paperwork for my trust).

Forming an LLC is easy. You can do it online at Wisconsin's business website. Costs $130. As far as the siggy goes, if the form 4 is anything like a dealer app all you need is an authority having jurisdiction's siggy. That means the DOJ can do it for you. Screw the Chief. The pics are easy, go to Walgreens and tell them you want the passport package. They take your photo and crop it to exact size. Here's the link to the business website.
