Looking at DTV

i love my directv. yeah i do lose signal in bad weather however thats what a dvr is made for. their customer service has always been very polite and fixed any issues i have had which has been very minimal in the 5 years i have had them. however if i had to choose i would have uverse but they don't offer it in my neighborhood.

See, that's my hesitation. I talked to them about a "satisfaction guarantee" and they said that I will be happy, but that I couldn't cancel the service even within the first week. I am locked into a 24 month agreement and if I cancel early, I am subject to a $20 a month fee for whatever is left in the contract. So stupid.

Yep cost me $160 to buy out my "contract" that should have ended over 2 years prior. But the money I saved going to Dish Network made up for it. I get all the channels I want, for less.
