    Car salesmen

Anyone here still sell cars? Going to start looking at a trade in for a 07 (or around) trailblazer. We haven't gone around to look at any yet since we just decided this but I figured I would give people here first dibs on a sale if they have something we like.

there's atleast two silver ones locally. right around that 23-25k area. (for an SS)

otherwise if you are looking for a plain trailblazer, your only option with the 5.3L would be the extended version of the TB.

now on the other hand, you could get a Buick Rainier and have the same wheelbase as a regular TB but it does offer the 5.3L. I had an '06 and it was fun to drive. Well not mine, parents, haha. But was fun at the snowdrags

Well the fiance is pretty much set on a Trailblazer, and I of course wanted a bigger engine haha. I didn't really know about what came with what yet though so thanks for that. I would get an SS for the right price but we are looking for under 20K so I doubt that will happen. Trust me, I'd rather have the SS haha.

seriously, look at the Rainier or whatever. It's exactly the same thing, maybe even a bit more upscale compared to the trailblazer.

ultimately of course it's up to you guys and what you like. just wanted to toss out options. those EXT Trailblazers are hard to find

Yeah thanks for the ideas for sure. I'll run it past her an see what she says. I think we are just going to end up going with the 4.2 trailblazer though just because that is what fits in our budget at the moment. I haven't really heard about any major problems with the 4.2 either?

I'm a little iffy about it because I've driven trucks my whole life haha.

If you look at the Rainier, look out for the air suspension, fair number of them have problems. Also check out the 9-7x if you looking for higher end.

the 4.2 is a good engine. my old man works for the boucher group and can pull cars from any store if you find something you like. I traded in my tbss and picked up an 06 LT all loaded with heated leather and all that nonsense, 4x4 and 4.2 liter, 66k miles for 13k out the door.

We have an 03 envoy slt, fully loaded. Just turned over 110k miles and the only thing we've had to replace was the fan clutch and some sway bar end links. I would recommend looking into the envoy, such a nice ride and tons of features. I bought the thing 3 years ago with 55k on it for 15k.

Also, if you are going to do any towing check what the rear axle ratio is. It can be had in 3.42, 3.73 and 4.10. We have the 3.42; it pulled a fully loaded 6x12 enclosed trailer fine but i'm sure either of the lower gears would have been better, i'm guessing it was between 3500-4000lbs.

If you go 05+ i believe you can get the 5.3L in the non extended envoy as well. Gets damn near the same mileage with a more usable power band.

As an owner of a TB with the 4.2 I6, I'd agree with buying the 8. The difference in gas mileage is negligible, cause the I6 mileage is horrible.

Other then that I like my TB. It's a beast in the snow. I picked up my 06 last July pretty much loaded minus leather, 55K and GM certified for $13,600.

I wouldn't say the milage is "horrible." We get 20 down the hwy, its not great, but for a full frame suv that can tow 5k and ride like a cadillac its not bad!

I struggle to make 16 driving city, and for a 6 cyl I think that's pretty shoddy. I've always been able to exceed mfg stated mileage.

My comment is more towards no sense buying the 6 if you can find the 8 cause there's no real benefit mileage wise.
