2004 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500HDmy airbag light is on. also there is a red light on the right side of my rearview mirror. since the airbag light came on now my compass and stuff on the mirror won't turn on. not sure if i should just pull the airbag fuses to check them or if something else could be an issue. any ideas?

so i got it looked at. was told my sdm is not communicating with the computer. anyone help me with this? guess they have to be purchased brand new and then flashed to the truck's vin code. can anyone at a dealer get me a price for the part?
