Yep, Sitting next to Dave Hinzman in the finals, with Billy Glidden in front of me.
Very surreal, and not afraid to say "emotional" to say the least.
Not bad for a car that never gets down the track, and a bunch of dummies working-tuning on it.
We aint done yet, I promise you that.
Thanks to my team that I can always count on, that no matter what they keep the faith.
Coming in second to a Steve Petty tuned car, in the same lane and same spot that Billy Glidden blew the tires off in= Ron you are the shit!!!!!!!!!!!
    More to come....

    Thanks Jim.

I have wanted to say this...

Sometime during the beginning of winter we had a long discussion about what you wanted to do in the upcoming season. You told me you wanted to go "serious radial tire racin" and i think my response was somewhat negative with a reply of something like " are you fucking nuts?"
    Put this on record......

    its true.

Thanks for everything you do for/with your team. I cannot express in words how it makes me feel to have the opportunity to be out there racing/tuning with the BEST of the BEST cars in the country. It is always a learning experience for all of us.
Thanks again for the wonderful opportunities you have given all of "the crew"

Congrats all. That's awesome to make it that far against SERIOUS competition. Icing on the cake that it was done by a small shop without enormous budgets

    For the record....
Dave Hinzman and myself spoke after the run, and he told me he had the 4.58 tune-up from Georgia in his car to go 4.71 to 4.79 at Milan. Bad air and track conditions slowed the car around 2 tenths.
That is with a 565 chevy, big stuff 3, a 1.60 gear set, and 150lbs lighter.
I'm DAMN proud of my crew and the 'Ol Henry!!

    Congratulations "Big Dawg" !!!
Had a GREAT time !!! I can't thank you enough for allowing me to join in on the trip and do what little I can. I was/am so proud of the presence that was made after that 2nd qual session. There was definitely a buzz thru the pits and rightfully so. Even after the "comment" that was made when we rolled in late Friday. They are eating crow now.

Also Congratulations to Jr !!! Forced to be in a class that was "just abit" faster then you have gone and making it to the semi's, that's the $#!T!! Strapping the tree on that yellow car and not allowing him to catch you, great job !!!

In closing, thanks again for EVERYTHING !! Hope to have a weekend like this with you guys again.

This was in Milan MI. there is some video,I believe it will be televised soon as well.

To put the numbers in prospective for those who dont pay attention to 1/8 vs 1/4 times...
    The bird has been 7.70@189 with a 5.06@147 1/8
simple math would put the car easily at 7.50s with the times it was running in the 1/8 this weekend.
