Looks to me like they are charging their iPhone and they don't have a cig lighter available but they did have jumper cables. I've done weird shit like that at the track or something to charge my phone(s) 'cause I don't have a cig lighter in my 240. Not like it will damage anything. So its battery +12V instead of through a relay switched to a cig lighter... so what?
Maybe I am just a typical iPhone owner but I guess I don't get it either?!

Maybe I'm a bit too cautious, but I figured it would be pretty fucking retarded to hook jumper cables up to a car charger for a phone. ESPECIALLY inside the car laying on the fucking passenger seat.
