    explorer intake swap

I want to swap intakes on my fox mustang my question is can i use the explorer lower as it has a dist. hole in the back of the intake and the 91 has it in front if not how much difference is there in using just the upper off the explorer

All SBF engines have the distributor in the front of the block. You are looking at the PCV valve hole.

No if you use a 5.0 explorer intake you have to use them as set lower and upper. The intake runners are different from the stock and the GT40.

If you say so since when is a pcv hole 1 in in diameter and I took out the hall effect from it?

I'm gonna try and be polite as possible.

A 302/5.0/SBF has never. EVER. and WILL NEVER. have a distributor in the back. Period. Good Lord, just the thought of it........

Yes the PVC hole is about 1 inch in diameter on 5.0 EFI manifolds because a large rubber grommet fits in the hole in which the pcv valve fits.

SBF intakes do not have distributor holes at all.

You didn't take a hall effect sensor out of the PVC hole. There is some confusion here.

This will not work you can not use a explorer upper with out switching the lower to the explorer also the intake runners are not the same shape or location here are some pics to show you the differance

    87-93 stock 5.0 lower

    explorer lower

stock 87-93 5.0 engine pic-note dist in front

explorer intake on mustang dist in front

    hope this helps
