    upgrade intake manifold??

i have a LS6 intake mani now. would it be worth the $$$ to upgrade to a FAST or something better? or would the gains be so small that its not worth it?
not saying im going to do it just curious to see if it would even be worth it at all.
i may be swapping to a ls6 valley cover so i figure since im taking the ls6 off might as well put a better one on...unless it would be a waste of money.
    thanks
    Mike.

Fuck FAST. You may gain peak HP, but you will loose it everywhere else, your LS6 will last you till your into a big inch motor. That money would be best spent twoard your upcoming transmission/rear end replacements, then move to a higher stall.

I picked up thru the range over a LS6.
But I am running AFR heads too, so I bet that also plays a role.

Yeah it does help, his are factory castings, CNC ported, the AFR's have several other advantages. But 1,000+ bucks for 10 hp? Come on....

Port match the runners yourself and call it a day

FYI the LS6 w/ 75mm tb kicks the hell out of even the LS2 w/ 90mm tb!
All posts from the above author are expected to be 100% BS. Thank you and have a nice day.

    Hell no I got it used for 450 I think? It's only a 78mm.
If I was gonna go crazy all out big dollar motor maybe I'd get a 90-100+ but otherwise nope.
I'd agree there are better things to spand the $$ on for power.
