After having arm surgery it's not surprising. Even still he's better then Suppan and a couple mil cheaper.

It's still very early but thought it would be fun to check in on this one. As an A's fan and owning him on my fantasy team, I'm quite pleased so far. He hasn't been dominating but very solid, for a year off especially.

True, I'm not expecting 35 starts out of him...I think the A's will be happy with 25-30. If he makes 35 starts, hes worth 15 million easy.
2.74 ERA...I wouldn't say he is doing any worse . His other numbers aren't Sheets like yet but then again he is also going to the AL, which has better offenses to face.Finally,a Brewer that didn't go some where else and do better.
