I think I've gone to every one for the last 2 or 3 years but I only remember seeing about 3-4 Turbo Buick powered vehicles actually there. So if you guys go, you might raise the Turbo Buick attendance by 50% alone :-) And Keith, it ought to be real easy to lay claim to "Fastest turbo Buick" at the event, unless Jim Schmittinger graces us with his presence and shows us ALL how it's done...

Anyone on the fence about attending, I recommend it on the premise that a fair crowd of spectators attends this event but very few time runs, last year I remember you could make back to back time runs in front of a crowd with 0 minute waits. No guarantees but sounds like a good chance to get a lot of time runs in, in between events.

I saw 2 GN's goin N/B on I94 this afternoon, in Racine... I'm guessing that was you guys leaving together?

Ran Quick 16, qualified 9 the or so, went out first round with a red light (haven't been able to drive at all this year). Went 10.40 @ 129 with a 1.477 60 off the trailer, then a 10.47 and a 10.60 @ 129.9 on my red light pass, coughed and banged on the 1-2 shift and pulled timing out....

My Father-In-Law brought his new GTO, I only took 2 passes in it, not impressed with a 14.30 @ 100, 2.33 60 ft. I'm sure with some practice I could have, should have, would have run a 14.0-13.9 with a better 60ft, the MPH seems way down from what it should be....

Damn it, I was out of town that day
Last time at the grove was not good anyway, seems I've developed a
massive lean condition in 3rd gear that I haven't been able to figure out so
the Buick has been parked for a month now and I'm gettin frustrated with it.
