    Wheels at Webbs

It seems that there was good interest in potentially doing this. Can we maybe get a small group of people together to potentially go over locations, times and whatever else we need to set this up? I think it is important to try and get the manager to go for the idea as well if possible. It doesn't need to be "organized" but maybe just a heads up. I also think it would work best if this is done on say the 1st Saturday of the month or similar to that.

Post your comments or suggestions in here and lets try and get a crew together to hash out the details. Then we can get the first one ready for the start of the season in May hopefully!

    Sound good?

For those that weren't following the other thread, the idea is basically to have a meet and greet and a specific Webbs decided here on a Saturday (or Sunday, whichever) morning for breakfast with friends and fellow gearheads. Those that don't want to eat are welcome to attend and stand around with their coffees to check out rides

Criteria for a Wheels at Webbs:

    - nice sized parking lot for easy access and parking for classic and muscle cars
    - a Webbs manager is OK with the gathering at their location
    - dates
    - how to spread the word? Flyers, radio spot on Hot Rod radio, ad, signage at location

    any additional considerations???

organized IE no roped off parking at Webbs, no DJ or any stuff like that. Just show up, eat and hang with fellow car guys.

Possible location: 76th and Rawson. Right there on the corner. Pretty easy to get to, nice large parking lot etc

Theres a fairly large Webb's in South Milwaukee, on what turns into "Packard" ave.

Also, IMO, i wouldnt even bother asking the manager.. whos ganna say no to a group of people driving from all around, to patronize there resturaunt? We just should do burnouts in the parking lots lol. if they bitch, then we know never to patronize them again.

This sounds like an awesome idea. too bad its winter out right now.

Peter Sahagan of Sahagan Auto Body owns that property. He leases the building to Webbs. He might be game for that. I would contact him to.

As long as the parking lot is big enough for me to get my giant car into safely, I'll participate.

Looking forward to this. I like the 76th and Rawson or the S.M. site and don't forget about 27th and College.

Becky, can we set up a time to meet to discuss this? Jeni wants to help set this up as well. I'd like to have you as part of the team to get this off the ground. We can chat over the phone about it. Anyone else we need to get on the team?

I talked to Pete Sahagan today. He said we needed to talk to the manager /owner of Webbs in South Milwaukee. Even though he owns the property its not up to him. He also owns the lot between Mc Donalds and K Mart in Cudahy and he said we could do it there.

Problem is that its a grass lot and only access is from K marts lot. Just thought I'd pass it along.

For anyone that is going to make it Saturday night to Magoos (see Time for Magoos thread), we can discuss some of the basics IE possible locations, first Wheels at Webbs, etc. Basically just hash out any ideas you guys might have.
