    R/C cars??

since it seems to me ive been finding out more and more of us here also run the small cars. maybe we could have a section to talk racing, setups, and all kinds of basic r/c knowledge? just tossing it out there don't really expect much but alot of us look to be getting into racing at trackside lately. maybe we should have a bcm race

I have 3 nitro vehicles. They are all broke. I will be spending some decent cash to get the parts to fix them in spring. MY Jato 3.3 is actually busted in half. 70mph does not do well with a metal post.

Ide be down for a bcm rc car race. i have a rustler vxl. although we'd have to compare channels before hand otherwise it would be a bcm demo derby. im sure my brother would also be down, his cars even a bit quicker than mine.

the range on 2.4ghz tx's are amazing, and very fluid control. wish i could afford one, as well. till then ill stay within 60' of my truck

lol there acually making a $99 version spektrum its kinda wierd looking but instead of being digital is all analog. the girl at trackside showed me on the computer. think its called the dx3e is a cheap way into the 2.4Ghz world i just ordered a dx3.0 tho for $129 shipped. its identical to my JR i have now so i'll probably see what i can get for the JR radio and buy anouther spektrum reciever for my other car.

+1. I just sold my Cen Genesis .46 to a guy in Chicago because I was sick of the hoop jumping just for 5-15 minutes of fun. I bought the damn thing and the pull starter broke on the second try, had to send it back for warranty. Then after all the jerking around with getting it broken in and tuned, I couldn't get it to shift gears. When I flipped it over in the snow one day, and it wouldn't start anymore, I was like "F-you, you're gettin' sold."

At least it raised a little money for go fast parts.

lol prolly sucked in some water on the motor either fried the sleeve or possiblt the piston or both had enough of thsoe things apart. when i had my t-maxx threw a .18 os max motor in ti and it flew flipped it one day in some sand and the air cleaner came off looked like sand in the carb so before i fired it up again i pulled it all apart and checked it out. was glad it was fine since i just dropped $280 on the motor! lol

Hey guys, I think we should see if a thread could be started under the "Racing" section. I've been racing one sort or another of R/C cars since '89. I run on-road at Trackside (US Vintage Trans Am) mostly, but I've dabbled in off-road here and there. I picked up a Slash for my son, and I have a Blitz for myself. We are going to run the "Short Course Showdown" at Trackside the end of April. I also do the Dirt Oval during the summer time season, and the racing on the Trackside dirt oval is fun, but up at CRC it's insane. I aquired a 1/8 Late model over winter.....at CRC they run .21-.28 engines and hit 60+mph on the straights, I also have a Custom Works Outlaw sprint car that I run at Trackside and CRC. If any of you guys need any info/help with any thing, drop me a pm. Here's a couple pics of one of my USVTA Camaro's.
